Maryland Thermoform is currently seeking a CNC Programmer to join their team of professionals in Baltimore, MD. (CNC Programmer Job)

Draw and interpret/manipulate 2D and 3D models/files and generate CNC programs to support 3D contour machining of New Products / Molds. Reverse engineering from part samples and identify tooling required to support the CNC machine programs. Also assist shop personnel in the set-up of Vertical Machining Centers to optimize the manufacturing process defined by the CNC program. Successful individual will interact with engineering and machine shop personnel.

Two or more years of experience as a CNC programmer preferred. Ability to develop CNC programming from CAD design drawings or prototype parts with minimal supervision required. Must have working knowledge of 3D CAD system such as Rhino, Solidworks, AutoCAD and 3D surface programming. Understanding of raw materials and related machinability (specifically aluminum) as well as EasyCAM and/or MasterCAM programs preferred. Familiarity with the Thermoform process and related tooling components as well as with CNC machine set up and operation required. Proficiency required in 3D CAD operations (drawing and manipulating 3D surfaces and solid models) and programming cutting paths for true 3 dimensional contoured surfaces.
